Terms of Service

Effective July 20, 2026 · Plain-language pre-launch terms. These will be reviewed and expanded by counsel before general availability; the two commitments below will never be weakened.

1. We never move money between users. MyStageZone processes no payments between people, holds no balances, and takes no cut of tips or fees. Any money that changes hands between users does so entirely outside the platform, at the sender's own initiative.

2. The Service never punishes anyone. Status indicators, timers, and attendance records are information, not discipline. The Service imposes no automated fines, strikes, or penalties on any user, ever. What a venue does with its own records is the venue's decision, outside the Service.

The service

MyStageZone provides live rotation, scheduling, and booth-to-floor communication tools for entertainment venues ("the Service"), operated by MyStageZone ("we," "us"). The Service is currently in early-access release; features may change.

Accounts and roles

The Service supports venue operators (owners, managers, DJs) and performers. Performers are independent professionals; nothing in the Service creates an employment relationship between any performer and any venue or between anyone and us. All performer actions in the Service are performer-initiated and optional. The Service imposes no fines, penalties, or automated consequences on performers, ever.

What we retain

We retain: user profiles (as controlled by each user), payment-handle directory entries users choose to list, venue configuration, and our own billing and subscription records (which we must keep for accounting and tax purposes). Clock-in/clock-out attendance records — performer or DJ name, venue, clock-in and clock-out timestamps, on-site verification result, an approximate distance range if clocked in off-site with an override, and the override flag — are retained for 30 days and then deleted automatically; venue managers and the venue owner account can view and export them (CSV) during that window, and each performer can view their own. Raw location coordinates are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Per-shift operational data (rotation order, statuses, tip and request entries) clears at shift close as a behavior of the product. A litigation-hold mechanism suspends deletion for a specific venue only when we receive a valid legal preservation notice.

Tips, skip fees, and money

Any tipping between users is optional, sender-initiated, and happens entirely outside the platform through third-party payment apps. Where the Service records a skip fee or a tip entry, it records that an entry was made — it does not collect, hold, transfer, or guarantee any payment. Statements in the Service about accepted song requests are commitments between the people involved, not obligations we enforce or guarantee.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to break the law, to harass anyone, or to attempt to access data the Service's roles and privacy design withhold from you. Venues are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to their business, including employment and licensing law.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" during early access, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. We are not a party to any arrangement between venues, DJs, and performers.

Changes and contact

We'll notify account holders of material changes to these terms. Questions: info@mystagezone.com.
